Do you work with wood?
Regretfully, our firm discontinued the use of wood decking. We exclusively work with Azek Capped Polymer decking & a variety of rail brands.

Can we install new synthetic decking & rails to an existing frame?
While this can be done in some instances, based on our experience with Deck Overs we have set certain criteria for these types of projects to meet. Because we did not build the original frame, we cannot guarantee how long the existing frame will last.  Once we alter an existing deck we are required to bring things to current code standards and a permit must be pulled for changing out handrails. For our firm to quote a deck over, the existing deck must have been professionally built (with a permit originally pulled) and the frame/footings are to be no more than 10 years old.

Does your firm do deck repairs, or offer pressure washing/staining services?
We are exclusively a deck builder. We do not offer repair or maintenance services at this time.

Do you use subcontractors?
We have a 3 person, in-house crew of carpenters.  We can however coordinate with your pool installer, landscaper etc, as necessary.

Do you have a showroom?
Yes. We have an office in Brookfield with a variety of product samples.  An appointment is recommended.

Can I shovel or salt my new Azek deck in the winter?
Yes.  When shoveling your Azek deck, use an all plastic shovel to avoid scratching the surface and always shovel with the grain/direction of the deck boards.  You can salt the deck surface with calcium chloride based salt.  We do recommend you sweep it off after it's done its job.  If you leave it sit all winter, it can pit the decking surface.

Is Azek Maintenance Free?
While Azek (and most composite decking) are extremely low maintenance, they do still require cleaning. We recommend cleaning your Azek deck in Spring and Fall.  Warm water and Dawn works great with a stiff natural fiber brush.

Is there a "standard" square foot price for a deck?
No. We get this questions a lot. Every project is different. Factors include, but are not limited to, the overall height, number of stairs, site accessibility, finish materials (rail style, decking color collection, joist tape, lighting, fascia or vertical skirting) and much more.

What should I take in to consideration when choosing a decking color?
Azek offers a variety of decking colors, from a more monotone color to variegated tones.  If your deck will be Southern exposure, and gets a lot of sun we highly recommend a lighter colored decking.  The darker the color deck board, the warmer it will be in the direct sun.  The darker boards also tend to show dirt and water spots more prominent (similar to darker interior flooring that shows dust more than lighter flooring).

Do you offer financing?
We do not currently offer financing.
